2007 Chrysler Crossfire TPMS Relearn by DRB III

Performing a Train (Relearn) sequence on the 2007 Chrysler Crossfire using the DRB 3 Enhanced Emulator and wiTech Micropod 2.

 

Firstly, have everything you will need:

1) Good computer knowledge

2) A laptop with a clean Windows XP or Windows 7 installation on it. Nothing else. Networking and Updating turned off.

3) A Micropod 2 Clone

4) Follow these instructions (How to install DRBIII Emulator for Micropod 2 on WIN7)

5) A TPMS tool to “chirp” the sensors so the vehicle can read them (I use the Autel TS601)

6) Perform a TPMS Relearn sequence using DRB III Emulator. Chirp each wheel when requested by the emulator. (Takes about 5 minutes).

 

If the laptop has audio, you will hear a beep after each wheel’s ID is accepted by the TPMS system. Four beeps and you are done. On screen instructions will guide you through the process. The individual wheel sensor ID’s will be read by the emulator and automatically programmed into the TPMS.

 

What process to follow?

I have run the sequence to perform a TPMS relearn using the DRB lll Enhanced Emulator and Micropod ll. The following 10 images show the sequence I followed along with a snapshot of each displayed screen from the Laptop.

I stopped at this point, because I am not performing a relearn at this time. Please note: magnets are not required when performing activation of the wheel sensors using a TPMS tool.

How to Configure WiFi for wiTech MicroPOD2?

Let me get straight to the point. Here is the WiFi setting guide of the new released WiFi version wiTech MicroPod 2 V17.04.27 diagnostic scan tool for Chrysler Jeep Dodge and Fiat.

 

 

 

How to configure a Wireless Profile on a MicroPOD2?

Preparation:

On a PC with the wiTECH V17 software application installed

Iwifi version share the same installation procedure as non-wifi version micropod2.

Then plug MicroPod II interface into the OBD2 port of your vehicle. The indicator will turn green, it means it car is charging the device.

Meanwhile use the USB cable to connect one laptop (Dell, Lenovo etc) with installed V17.04.27 wiTech software

Connect wireless WIFI on the computer.

Enter IP “172.22.22.22” into the address bar of an Internet browser.

This opens the Witech setting interface

Select “Wireless Settings” in the menu on the left

 

Profile is set to “Default”.

 

Click on “Save”.

 

Wireless Settings saved. To enable this wireless profile, click on “Manage Networks”.

You can close this page and return to configuring the device by clicking on the close button below.

Next operation is to click on “Manage Networks” -> Wireless (tick it off) -> Select & Start.

Once the connection is complete you will see an IP address populate for the wireless interface

Success, close it.

Back to click on “Manage Networks”,  now we can see “Currently Selected”, and 172.22.22.22 is enabled, which means the wireless connection is set successfully.

WIFI WiTech MicroPod 2 Online Programming Guide

I would like to share a good news with all you, WiFi WiTech MicroPod 2 is now available at obdii365.com. It has two nice features: one is to connect via WIFI, another one is to do online programming with TechAuthority account. In the following parts, let’s have a look at how does online programming work.

 

Firstly, we prepare:

A WiFi WiTech MicroPod 2;

A Chrysler ECU box with a dashboard ( dismantled from the car) ;

VIN Check:

Witech was unable to read the VIN. Attempt to cycle the ignition into the RUN position before continuing. Note: If no keys are programmed and vehicle is unable to go into RUN, continue and enter the VIN, then there will be a dialogue saying ” Please enter an VIN. ”

 

Come to “All DTCs”.

Double-click row selection to view environmental data. Click on column heading to sort table.

Here we have one DTC, and we notice the “Online” icon is in green color, means the online programming is available; otherwise it is red color and name as “Offline”).

Possible to use Witech to write vins on a 2015+ Dodge?

Purpose: to perform a PCM replaced procedure to learn/synch the skim / write vins on a 2015+ Dodge.

Question:

I have a good quality micropod II clone registered for online use with Witech 17. Is this possible? If yes, how?

My micropod clone has firmware version 2.4 and is registered so works with witech 17.04 software and tech authority online.

Suggestion:

if you can use your clone micropod 2 while witech software is online, yes you can perform “restore vehicle configuration” and program the car mileage into the pcm.
you need online account for this of course.. But sellers does not provide online account. 

Test reports for sharing:

Did not work… “0x42 unable to write vin, retry restore procedure”.

What to do next?

1. Do you have any launch scanner tool? easydiag will do the pcm vin and miles change.
   as for the skeem learn for a used pcm is not needed as long the vin on the pcm matches the rest of the modules in the car, should work fine.

2. Also it is possible to write VIN into Dodge PCM using Launch X431 Diagun IV (discontinued and replaced by X431 Diagun V).

2. Also Autel tools has the ability to write the VIN into Dodge.

the Autel MaxiSys tools (i.e Maxisys Elite) do have the ability to write VIN. Specific function availability will varies by year and model.

Here is an example of the VIN writing options for a 2006 Dodge Ram.

The “Check VIN” function works the same as other scan tools, if there is no VIN in the PCM it will then allow you to write the VIN number to the module.
